About Pimpri-Chinchwad Science Congress

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and Khagol Vishwa, Pune. have successfully organized Science congress since 2005. Based on the framework of National science Congress, the aim of this event is to spread the awareness about fundamental sciences in highschool students and to discuss local problems and issues and develope the science and technology to solve them. Many renowned scientists and research institutions have participated in this event. Thousands of students and common people visit the science exhibition with great interest and enthusiasm. The Pimpri- Chinchwad Science Congress is conducted every alternate year.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Science Congress 2009

The third Science congress was organized from 12th -15th February, 2009 through co-ordinated efforts of Khagol Vishwa, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Rotary club of chinchwad and S.N.B.P. School. The objective is discuss the vision of Dr. APJ Kalam to ‘Conserve Ideal Environment” and to develop strategies to set up a ideal city – ‘Pimpri-Chinchwad’. Renowened Scientists and Institutions along with the schools in the city are participating in this event.
